Joshua Simmons retired from professional wrestling after testing HIV+.

He maintained his undetectable status for 7 years and has decided to enter the ring professionally again.

This short film shows Joshua's journey, struggles and his relentless path towards redemption.

About the wrestler…

Joshua Simmons, aka “Joshua City”, retired from professional wrestling the day he found out he was HIV+. Since that time he has maintained his HIV+ undetectable status on his path back to the ring.

About the filmmaker…

Jeremy Word is an independent filmmaker & photographer residing in San Francisco. Previous films include ‘ZEYNAB’ and is currently filming a series for the Mission’s El Tecolote.
